Well… humble brag, but how fabulous does this job in Bournemouth we recently finished look? 😍

Brand new VEKA Omnia windows all the way round… and can we just take a moment for that colour? 🤎 that soft, warm stone shade against crisp white render and a proper blue sky ...we’d love to say we ordered the sky specially… sadly that one is out of our control ☀️

It’s the kind of job that makes you want to stand on the driveway with a cuppa and just… look at it for a minute ☕
Big shout-out to the fitters, fantastic work. 👏💙

Out and about with Andy today at this beautiful Victorian property in Ilminster 🏡

A full set of new windows and doors going in, bringing with them all the lovely warmth, comfort and energy efficiency that modern glazing has to offer.

There's still plenty of work going on, but this is going to be a real beauty when it's finished… and we can't wait to share the final result with you!

A moment for the blinds 😍
…remember the apartment windows we mentioned a couple of weekends ago? Well… here they are, and yes, those are blinds you’re looking at, the clever bit is that the blind sits between the two panes of glass, which sounds like a small thing (which I guess it is ) except the difference it makes…BIG!!! Nothing to dust, no cords dangling for little hands or curious paws, nothing to clatter about when you open the window for a bit of air…and then when the streetlight’s being annoying at 9pm, shut in an instant. Every builder's heard it… and we totally get it… these products are a big investment… they're going to be in their homes for many years to come… we want them to be 100% happy with their choice. If they can't quite decide between bifolds or sliders… bring them over to ours… our showroom is your showroom. Give Dean a buzz and he can either leave you to talk your customer through the options or he can, either way… we can definitely supply the tea, biccies and brochures."

Here's how it usually starts… 🪟

Someone rings about one small job …a tiny bathroom window, say …nothing fancy.

A few years later it's a back door. Then the downstairs windows. Then one day the phone goes and it's "we've been thinking about a hup extension …because the grandkids love to play 💖

We've been doing this in the South West for well over 20 years now, and honestly? That's the bit we're proudest of. Not the windows (although… they are rather lovely these days) …it's being asked back. We've watched families grow, from newlyweds to noisy houses full of uni students to the next lot of little ones charging through the kitchen.

It only happens if you do the job properly the first time …and if you're still here ten years later when someone rings about a guarantee. We are, and we do.

This is Joe, deeply engrossed in the Hup! Extension brochure… quite the page-turner, it would seem!! 😂📚 …well over 20 years in the trade and he still reads the literature… knows all the product facts… If there were a pub quiz on 'home improvements', whilst it may not be wildly popular, I do know who would do rather well 🍻📝

And honestly? We love that about him. The products keep evolving… anthracite grey, warm roofs, hup! extensions that go up in days. Joe's the reason we're usually a step ahead on all of it.

Dean's been 'Out and about' catching up with a few of those good folks 'on the tools' 👷🏼‍♂️🔨🪚🧱 …and the same conversation keeps coming up …it's never the windows that cause the grief….it's the waiting for delivery to site of various building materials and supplies.

The delivery that was "definitely Tuesday". The one missing (always essential) widget …and the customer standing in the kitchen giving you *the look*.

So, one for the builders and trades this morning… we turn up when we say we will. We take the old frames away. And if something's not right, ring us (and get an actual person).

That's it. That's the whole pitch, because you've got enough 'complicated' stuff to manage already.
