Hey everyone! 🚨 As part of our commitment to safety, it’s vital to understand the smoke detector legislation in Scotland, especially since the new regulations came into effect on February 1, 2022.

📅 **Key Points to Remember:**

1. **Minimum Requirement:** Every home must have at least one smoke alarm in the living room and one in every hallway.

2. **Testing:** Test your smoke detectors **monthly**! Just press the test button and ensure you hear that reassuring beep.

3. **Replace:** Smoke detectors should be replaced every **10 years**. Always check the back or side of your alarm for the manufacture date to keep track!

4. **Battery Changes:** If your smoke alarm uses batteries, change them at least once a year. A great reminder is to do this when the clocks change! ⏰🔄
