Today’s job was in a pony grazing field where heavy acorn drop can cause issues for horses in mast years.

Rather than removing the oaks, we agreed the best solution was a crown reduction on the overhanging limbs, keeping the horses safe while also preserving the trees.

As always, the trees were checked for nesting birds.
A lot of people believe tree work can’t be done during nesting season, but that’s a misconception.

✅ We can work during nesting season
❌ What we cannot do is disturb active nests

We always survey before starting any work, checking for wildlife, cavities, bats, tree condition, and any legal restrictions such as TPOs.


Healthy trees retained, risk reduced, ponies protected. ✔️

Firewood is back in stock, £90 a ton in lengths or bits and £50 a bulk bag processed. This will be ready to burn at the end of the summer.
Message for delivery options and always open to do a deal on collection or larger loads. Choices of Ash, Oak and mixed hardwood. Small selection of softwood
