About the Role:
We’re a long-established, reputable electrical company in Cumnock, Ayrshire looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team! If you excel in rewires, new builds, and a wide variety of electrical works, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:
✔ Carry out high-quality domestic & commercial electrical work
✔ Work on rewires, new builds, and upgrades
✔ Collaborate with a professional, experienced team

What We Need from You:
✅ Fully Qualified Electrician (Gold Card)
✅ Experience in rewires or similar works (not essential)
✅ Driving licence preferred but not essential
✅ Strong work ethic & pride in your craft

Our Apprentice has Talent – and now he has a title to prove it! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to share that our 2nd-year apprentice, Evan, has been crowned Apprentice of the Year for West of Scotland ! 👏

He made it to the finals last year as a first-year apprentice, and this year he’s gone all the way to the top.

After a tough day of theory and practical testing (in front of a panel of judges) Evan rose to the challenge, demonstrating not only his technical skills and knowledge but also his dedication and passion for the trade. He beat out six other talented finalists to take the top spot — a really fantastic achievement!

Evan represented both our company and his college with professionalism and pride. We couldn’t be prouder.

Well done, Evan – you’ve earned it! 🙌

It's been a while - but we only update when super important or great news. Today we are all happy to announce that Ciaran absolutely smashed his F**A exam and is no longer Boy-Wonder Apprentice but is this week now a fully-fledged Electrician.

Ciaran has shown great attitude and determination throughout his 4 year apprenticeship. His college reports were consistently positive and he has been on just about every type of job, and experienced every aspect of the works we do here at Millar Electrics. Year one he got to do the fun stuff, coring holes, raggling walls, sweeping up, whilst being supervised in all his electrical works.. learning the basics... to now fitting EV chargers and speaking with clients and customers. Recently working on larger projects such as Factory Outlet Refurbishment, Craig Tara, EICR Testing and Inspecting Contracts, and he is never afraid to learn or take on new challenges. He went into his F**A very confidently and it was never in doubt.

We had a report of Street lights out which housing association needed replaced quickly. Within 3 days of being reported, we had visited, quoted, taken delivery of materials and returned and completed the works.

New LED street lights with 5 year warranty and another happy client.

Some recent works we have completed:

3 x 50w floods supply and fitted, to light up large car parking area of local transport company.

2 x Outside lights fitted at local manse and church to similarly ensure safety at nights and for visitors on steps.

5 outside lights (supplied by customer) wired and fitted with photocell to private customer’s driveway.
