JOB VACANCY
Building & Construction Apprentice

WORKING HOURS
Monday - Friday
Hours will vary out will and will be on a full-time basis (30+ Hours)
You will be required to attend Coleg Sir Gar (Ammanford Campus) one day a week to support your apprenticeship
(Opportunities to work weekends in addition)

SALARY
Dependent on experience

HOLIDAYS
20 days paid holiday a year plus bank holidays

ROLE SUMMARY
Working for WrightWay Building & Construction Ltd will provide you with a wealth of experience and knowledge to develop into a construction worker. You will learn a number of skills;
Brick laying
Patios
Fencing
Plastering
Stonework
Garden and home renovations
Extensions
Civil engineering

You will develop a broad understanding of the construction industry including workplace safety, providing customer service, moving and handling resources as well as demonstrating practical skills in various element

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main duties and responsibilities will include;
Carry out relevant trade duties on responsive and planned works as requested.
Repairs and restoration work on houses and other properties.
Use authorised plant and equipment provided with due care and attention and as supervised
Work as part of a team and use materials safely
Load and unload materials and equipment as directed.
Be flexible with your working pattern.
Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers to ensure the effectiveness of the repairs and maintenance service.
Be aware of risk assessments and method statements relating to own area of work and to work in safe manner taking account other people’s health and wellbeing.
Follow Health and Safety policy and procedures including the wearing of personal protective equipment when necessary.
Willingness to learn whilst on the job

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The nature of this apprenticeship would suit school/college leavers from 16 years of age.

WHAT YOU WILL GET
You will gain valuable training in the workplace whilst being supported every step of the way, guided by a personal development plan.

START DATE
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible

You are only eligible to apply if:
You have lived in the UK/EEA for a minimum of three years consecutively
You do not already hold a Level 3 qualification in the same subject

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible
(Will comply with current work safety guidelines set by the Government)
