Visitors to our recent shows may already be familiar with a new face on the Wilsons stand...👀

We're delighted to officially welcome Andy Kirkpatrick to the Sales team!

Andy has been brought into the sales team to bring further capacity to visit and support our existing customer base. Joining back in 2014, Andy brings a wealth of technical knowledge from his time in various engineering departments which will be a great asset when speaking to customers about our range of forestry & firewood machinery.

Andy has already been out and about with Kris and Ken to visit customers across the country while also attending several of our recent shows, gaining experience and already building great relationships with customers.

The full story on our recent Steelyard Peson Weigh Link trial 👇

Earlier this year, we teamed up with a local timber haulage company to put one of the 4-tonne Steelyard Peson Weigh Links to the test in real working conditions. Installed in just half a day on an Epsilon M120L top-seat loader crane, it was straight to work the very same day.

A few months later, we caught up with Craig to see how things were going. With multiple operators, different timber types, and up to five loads a day, the weigh link was used day in day out.

The feedback was clear: simple to use, easy to learn, and consistently accurate. Operators praised the touchscreen display and clear audible confirmation of every weight counted. Craig and his team were most impressed by the system's reliability & accuracy, allowing them to load closer to maximum capacity with confidence and without the risk of overloading.

In Craig's own words:

🔥Watch how the Botex Firewood Ringer turns this log into 12 consistent rings of timber in under 2 minutes from the safety of the Operator's cab..

Each ring was then precisely loaded onto the infeed table of the Posch AutoLogger 420, where it was processed into uniform firewood logs.

While in this video the Firewood Ringer is working with straight timber, it can also take care of twisted and awkward timber at a similar speed thanks to its adjustable saw positioning.
