WHAT LIES BENEATH: Why cheap re-wires cost more in the long run!
A recent inspection uncovered this exact horror show: modern PVC cables crimped straight onto old 1940s/50s braided rubber cabling hidden out of sight under floorboards.
Someone attempted to make the installation look brand new at the sockets, but left decades-old, degrading, and dangerous wiring powering the home behind the scenes.
