During a boiler service this week, I carried out a gas meter leak test and discovered a gas leak caused by an incorrectly installed gas cooker. At RW Gas and Heating Services, every boiler service includes a free gas meter test (gas leak test) for added peace of mind.

Just for awareness!!!!

Following a call received late on Saturday evening about a boiler issue, it was determined that the system pressure had been adjusted incorrectly and a heating isolation valve had been left in the wrong position.

With the heating switched on and the pump running, this setup could have caused the boiler to overheat and potentially damage the pump.

While you do not need to be Gas Safe registered to repressurise your boiler, it’s important that anyone carrying out this task is competent and confident in doing so safely.
