CALLING ALL LANDLORDS!!

Time is running out! All rental properties currently tenanted need to have a satisfactory report in place by 1st April 2021

No need to book these inspections through an estate agent, where you will likely pay an inflated price, book through us, we will liaise directly with your tenant to arrange a convenient time to carry out the inspection.

We are registered for DEICR’s under the Private Rental Sector scheme and the NICEIC,

Reports will be issued electronically within 24hrs of completion, we are happy to invoice electronically with payment due by return.

If any minor issues are identified that would cause the installation to fail and can be repaired whilst on site, we will rectify these and pass the inspection, if more in depth / further works or investigations are required, a quote will be provided along with the unsatisfactory report for your consideration.

From 1st June 2020, private landlords in England are required to have the electrical installation in their rental properties checked by a qualified electrician to ensure that they are safe.

This means that:

Electrical installations must be inspected and tested prior to the start of a new tenancy from 1st July 2020
Checks must be carried out on any existing tenancies by 1st April 2021
These checks must then be carried out on a five yearly basis.

A copy of the most recent electrical safety condition report (EICR) must be provided to both new and retained tenants.

The landlord is responsible for making sure that the person who completes the check is suitably competent. NJS limited are registered with the NICEIC for this scheme so you can be assured that your reports will be completed fairly, swiftly and at a competitive rate.

As of today Monday 23rd we have made the decision that our team will no longer be attending or undertaking any work within any occupied properties. We may be available for emergency callouts, this will be taken on a case by case basis and the governments strict distancing rules must be observed.
This has been a hard decision to make but as a small family run business our priority is to ensure the safety of our customers, staff and the local area.
