Security upgrades for a customer in Neville’s Cross. Back door was fitted with a 3* Anti Snap Cylinder while their front door I added an additional deadlock to give them 2 points of locking.

Both locks are British Standard equivalent and insurance approved!

Fitting the deadlock on a proper solid wooden door is always enjoyable!

A few recent jobs:

1. British Standard Mortice Lock change for a commercial business, their old lock was getting difficult to lock and actually failed completely while I was there. Called a locksmith just in the nick of time 👍🏼 otherwise they may have been locked out or locked in!

2. Yet another break in repair for a regular customer. Thank fully nothing was stolen! Cylinder upgrades to a 3* Anti Snap.

3. Customer has lost the keys to their back door, lock picked to get the door open and cylinder out then replaced. Door was also realigned and serviced 👍🏼

4. New locks for new owners. As I carry a large variety of stock I was able to fit the correct size cylinders for their doors! The previous ones were way too small and was a struggle to lock and unlock sometimes.

With long dark nights still upon us, break-ins seem to be a regular occurrence. The euro cylinder is the weak link in your multi point locking system and ‘Kn*bheads’ (pardon my language) are aware of this.

There are many ways to increase your security and decrease the likelihood of being burgled. From making sure your door is locked, keeping valuables such as car keys out of sight and upgrading your cylinder to an Anti-Snap 3* Cylinder.

Installed a Key Safe and Thumbturn Cylinder for one of my customers. Carers are needing access and there’s already been one incident of leaving a key in the back of the door which won’t allow the key to be used on the outside!

This allows access and improves safely for the customer inside.

Productive morning down my old club Bishop Auckland Rugby Club replacing shutter locks. Should I come back for another season 🤔🏉

All locks now working off the same key, no more rummaging around in the dark trying to find the correct key for the next shutter. So much easier!

Beautiful day for it, bit cold 🥶 but at least no more rain!

Double British Standard Deadlock upgrade for a lovely cafe in West Auckland. Only one lock was actually usable and it wasn’t particularly secure! Now it’s doubly secure and they can use the same key for both locks! How handy 🤷🏻‍♂️

Couple of quick gain entries, one was bumped open and the other was EPG’d open all within a couple of minutes 🤙🏼

Apparently the last time one of them was locked out the locksmith decided to smash the window! Crazy! Any half decent locksmith will aim to get you in without any damage (not always possible)… but definitely not by smashing windows 🙄

Couple of Non Destructive Vehicle entries from the other week, one on a Sunday and one at 11:30pm… always available for 24/7 emergency call outs 🤙🏼

Both had keys locked inside the vehicle and both were opened with no damage 👍🏼
