In this throw away society it is lovely to re style customers old curtains by changing the headings and adding new lining if necessary. However, during the stripping down process I found this tiny ring that had been stitched into the curtain weight bags at the bottom of the curtain. As many of you will know I have been away for a few weeks celebrating the wedding of my middle son in Paros. A small part of a much larger job done for a lovely customer in a local village. They were downsizing from a much loved family home and wanted to keep and re use some much loved soft furnishings but on the other hand have a few modern touches for their new home. The fabric is a custom hand printed from bird number 13. Large curtains for patio doors and interlined roman blinds for side windows. A very bold choice but they looked lovely

Sometimes you just need to live in a property to understand what is needed. Beautiful full length voiles were fitted last year using Clarke and Clarke Midori fabric. However room became very hot during the Summer. So working in conjunction with and we managed to add these wonderful pleated blinds. They are completely unobtrusive and incredibly stylish. Customer was absolutely delighted with the result.

This is probably a first for me - with a view like this you absolutely want the curtains to fade into the background and almost become invisible. A massive roman blind with lots of folds and single cartridge curtains on a ceiling mounted track . All blackout lined.
Lovely house …… don’t think I would ever want to draw these curtains and blinds

One of the things I love about my work is the opportunity to work alongside a customer to create their perfect home. This is the smallest room of a beautiful Victorian house renovation. Customer has chosen beautiful Colefax and Fowler fabric and wallpaper to make a stunning statement - we had the smallest amount of fabric to make this Roman blind and basin skirt. Love the final result
