New tool day - Lazy or smart ? 🤣⚡️

Started work on my friends house today. All new wiring is going in throughout, as it's a bare shell at the minute with extensive structural work going on.
This is going to be a smashing house, with a great layout.

Looking forward to getting stuck in second fixing this one !

Replacing lighting throughout schools is something we have been doing for a long time.

Tidy working environment is always maintained throughout these projects with efficient working schedules at half term, all waste removed from site including old fittings, recycled fluorescent lamps, and packaging disposed of.

Standardising light fittings throughout makes for easy future maintenance, testing, and replacing parts where needed.

A vacuum forming machine supply was installed last year for a fantastic customer of ours.

This machine had a maximum demand of 486 amps. Load monitoring was in place for a week to ensure the incoming supply could withstand this monster of a machine.

60 meters of 240mm 4 core SWA was winched into place over the structural purlins to feed it. A 120mm CPC was connected via the structural steel work and new 300mm singles terminated to the main 800 amp busbars, feeding the 500A switch fuse.

This particular customer is one that keeps us busy with regular ongoing maintenance, as well as many other installation works, and this job demanded all the physical power we had, and we certainly gave it our all to get it done, if you know, you know - these cables don't like to move 🤣

The NICEIC engineer came for a visit to look at this job on our annual assessment, which sparked some nice technical conversation between us both.

Pass me some 1.5 flex please 🫠

A local wallpaper and printed fabric manufacturing business relocated to a brand new unit.

Some work is still ongoing, but this business remained operational throughout, with next to no downtime.

Containment, Machine supplies, general power, lighting, and new section panel with a submain to feed a distribution board with integral surge protection device.

This job was an absolute pleasure to work on.
The Pappa Roti Franchise opened their first branch in the UK, and we had the pleasure of completing the electrical installations for them.

From an empty room, work started on this commercial space to create a modern and functional hot spot In the centre of Manchester's Northern Quarter - from drawings and designs, we got to work installing the extensive electrical system needed to make this new franchise operational within a matter of weeks.. more posts to follow...

SWA hydraulic crimping tool.
Needed for a job I'm on at the moment to crimp either end of a 35mm bonding conductor😂 ...but I'm sure it will be handy to have, as and when I need it.
