Most kitchen renovations set out to create more space. This one set out to create less.

Renovating their 1862 Victorian home, Robyn and Jack of Robyn (&J) | Life at Belgrave Place and Studio Belgrave wanted a hard-working kitchen, plus a large utility, laundry room and downstairs WC all without extending the original footprint. The guiding principle became ‘less cabinetry, more function’.

Our fluted Bowland sink sits in the peninsula opposite the Lacanche range cooker, facing the dining area and within easy reach of both the dishwasher and the fridge. Visible from the hallway, it draws you into the room, and has been beautifully finished with a Perrin & Rowe Ionian mixer in aged brass.

Brass and green is a colour combination that was timeless long before it was a trend, as beautifully demonstrated in this striking kitchen by Cherrywood Bespoke.

Painted in Farrow & Ball Card Room Green and finished with Perrin & Rowe brassware, the design also incorporates our popular and space-efficient Brindle sink. With one large and one small bowl, Brindle can be inset so the rim is on show, or undermounted so the rim is hidden making it equally at home in traditional and contemporary designs.

We love hearing stories about our sinks.

Interior designer Meenu Hamilton | Vancouver Interior Designer recently completed this utility room, featuring a Shaws Butler sink with a special history.

The owner first had the sink in her previous home over 20 years ago, and it was later carefully kept by her brother. When the time came to design her new utility room, the original sink was reinstalled - bringing a meaningful piece of her old home into the new one.

While dishwashers are a staple in many kitchens, we're seeing growing demand for double-bowl sinks. With each bowl available for a different task, they make it easier to manage washing up, food preparation and everyday cleaning.

Our Hawkshaw design features a versatile 70:30 split and a low dividing wall, allowing both sides of the sink to be filled at once when required - ideal for washing larger items such as roasting trays and barbecue grills.
