Some recent work completed alongside our sister group, . A highly satisfying job, and an absolute pleasure to be trusted taking care of some of the oldest trees in Hertford. Planted in the 18th century by Sir Thomas Dimsdale, the pioneer of the smallpox vaccine, the garden features a vast array of species, and makes for a very interesting job, especially for people with a passion for trees (like us)

Fence installation for a private car park providing spaces for the adjoining flats. Replaced the old timber post fencing with concrete, providing durability and stability for the car park behind. Client asked to keep the original gate, but replace the gate resting post.

Sympathetic magnolia reduction on Ware Road. As one of Hertford’s most well known and prized trees, we wanted to spend some time and thought on this beautiful tree. The Tree Protection Order authorised 2m all round, but we didn’t feel this to be entirely necessary on the fringes, only the top, taking in less than that on the sides, to demonstrate its fantastic shape. Not a single chainsaw was started in this tree, just secateurs and handsaws, and the result is evident.
