My brother in law had a stain on his ceiling below his shower tray at his home in Nottingham, he called a plumber out who decided to smash a hole in the ceiling below the shower to locate the leak. If this happens to you think twice before letting a plumber do this because if it leaks from when the shower is first put in then it's installed wrong if it happens after a while then there's a 99% chance it's just the silicone around the tray and needs the seal replacing.
