Yes I am still here - July/ August has been crazy ! 🤪 Work, holidays and carnival …..and just about hanging in there with this heat! 😰. This is a recent project completed in July. Striped Velvet Fabric from Exquisite Fabrics, Cushions, Curtains & Blinds - lovely to work with! Those in the know , will know what a challenge it is deep buttoning with curvy furniture, thick velvet AND stripes ! Very happy with the outcome - as were my clients. Looking forward to some lovely pieces during August/ September .Now booking for October; so if you have a project in mind let’s talk and get the ball rolling ! Happy Sunday all!

Getting ready for Friday’s kids workshops on Friday . Popped on to see Danny at for their needles, and scissors. We are going to have lots of fun making and creating on Friday using lots of remnant upholstery fabrics. Check out the Astor theatre instagram for further details as still some places left on the workshops - they are running all week and lots of choices!

Summer candy colours for these gorgeous Ercol chairs…wrapped in Bute fabric .Wool. Warm in winter and cool in summer . Lovely project. Complete renewal as previously had the old ( crumbling foam) and original fabric .

Our work here is done ! A lovely reimagined finish to the classic ‘Robin Day’ sofa. These were built to last ! And be reupholstered! Originally designed in 1964 but bought back by Habitat in the 90’s. If you have one …… lucky you ! Very sought after these days! Anyhow , I digress …… our clients decided to move away from the leather sofa cushions and we have wrapped them in Main line flax - stunning and brings real warmth to the room. Thanks John and Deborah for bringing these to us - quality frames - for life!

Lovely to finish these two beautiful sofas. My client has had these for years - and loves the size, design and shape . We managed to complete the three seater at the workshop, the four seater however we did mainly at the clients house and the sofa is no longer able to come out of house without a lot of hassle ! The fabric, a dusty pink from sits beautifully on the sofa. If you have a sofa that can do with a facelift do get in touch , next sofa availability is late September …… Yes it really has gone sofa mad ! But we love it !

A piece of fabric sourced from by ; backed onto a stiff black denim, led to the creation of this magnificent headboard at their seaside apartment. The fabric was sewn in to ‘lie’ on the board like a piece of framed art, similar to the pieces in their bedroom. Both Michael and Darrel also set the bar high in looking after and myself while building and upholstering on site…… elevensies with coffee and Portuguese tarts AND a lunch of savoury muffins with Greek cakes for desert! Future clients take note !!!!

Most Saturday mornings you can find me from 10-1. I am also most likely to be beavering away on a small project! These are some recent ones ….1. Small chair, completely stripped down to the frame and reupholstered in this pretty linen fabric . We also sanded and oiled the frame for a complete makeover. The same client had embroidered this gorgeous piece that we then backed on fabric and created a cushion. Next a small leather repair, scuffed trim and back of the chair - repaired ✔️. Finally, the very popular seat pads. Two shown, though we did 6 . Most of these projects get turned around over 1-2 weeks . Simply pop in to see me, discuss your project and we will book you in.
