🌪️🌧️ WELL… THE BRITISH WEATHER HAS OFFICIALLY LOST THE PLOT! 😂

One minute it’s raining sideways, the next the wind’s trying to blow us all into next week! 💨🤣

Here at RTC Quarries, we’re not entirely sure whether we’re running a slate quarry or auditioning for the next series of Storm Chasers! 🌪️

The lads are battling the elements, the waterproofs are being put through their paces, and we’re fairly certain the rain is now coming from underneath as well as above! ☔

On the bright side, at least the slate’s getting a good wash! 🪨💦

Stay safe out there, folks! And if you spot a hi-vis jacket caught in a tree, could you check whether there’s a member of staff attached? 🌪️🤣

RTC Quarries, proudly supplying slate whatever the weather throws at us! 💪🪨

Yes, this whopper weighed 2,380kg. Congrats to Alfred Cornelius who was closest with a guess of 2,375kg. 5kg away from being bang on!

You win…. absolutely nothing, but huge thank you to everyone who made a guess.

Check out this monster! Comment below how much you think this stone weighs?

Closest guess wins… nothing, except quarry bragging rights.

If you’re feeling blue, drop us a comment about how much happier you are now knowing that we have 2 colours of natural slate available, and which you’d pick? Or if you’re rusty with comments, message us to tell us which colour you prefer!

Colder months are creeping in, so it’s time to get your fields, fencing, foundations functioning (as you can tell, we do like a good f word). 🚜

Now’s a good time to get gateways and tracks in shape before the weather really turns.

From 25mm slate chippings, sub-base and drainage stone, through to our 2”–8” stone, and our Rough Hardcore for the really heavy-duty jobs, we’ve got plenty of options for getting the ground prepared and providing a solid foundation.

We’ve got the quarry aggregates to get the job done.

Get it sorted before the rain does! 🌧️

Everybody loves a neat entrance, and this brilliantly constructed slate wall is a great example of what can be achieved with slate in the right hands. 🤩

We may be biased, but we think the slate steals the show and offers a unique and polished finish.

If you’re thinking of giving your garden, entrance or boundary a full-on pampering with slate, get it touch with us to find out about all the wonderful stone we have to offer. 🪨🤘
