First time doing conduit since I was at college 🤓

A few months back, a church in Kilmarnock had the roof blown off and left what was indoor wiring, exposed to the rubbish weather we have here 🌧️

After disconnected the circuits - he gave us the shout to come in and install emergency lighting, switches and a socket to allow the church to get some bodies in 🙏

Tying into some existing runs and erecting new ones was actually great fun- a wee difference from the house bashing we are used to 🤩

I must admit - all ends were manufactured as I don’t have the IQ nor patience for bending them - also thank the Lord (no pun intended) for the snake 😆

⚡️- Isolators for kitchen appliances

With limited space on this one for worktop space, the customer and I agreed all isolators would be mounted in the main cupboard.

While frowned upon by some sparks for access , I think it’s so much better out the way and not taking up space on the splashback/tiles and makes the kitchen look more spacious without having 5/6 eye sores of isolators dotted around anywhere they will go.

Also need to pop back to change over the last isolator as it’s a different brand and size from the ones used 🤦

A year ago, we installed 2 x 63A single phase supplies to some holiday pods. But due to the property only having an 100A fuse feeding the house and with the 2 pods, we don’t want to risk overload.

So, we came up with a solution.

⚪️ The energy provider upgrading the supply to 3x100A

⚪️ 63A RCD DB to feed the home.

⚪️ 63A 3 Phase Supply to an outhouse to control the 2 x Pods.

⚪️ Feeder Pillar light as well as an emergency back up if any failure occurs.

Can’t wait to get this all connected up ⚡️

For the 3 phase DB, we used 🟦 ⬜️

Friday’s job was a trip to Linwood Matalan 👕

Half the track lighting and the 600 x 600 panels had stopped working after some previous works had been carried out.

Operating during trading hours wasn’t the easiest- and a big shout out to Jamie for chasing me around the store with barriers😆

After checking all lighting was on the same circuit - we made a lighting joint using a male/female end.

A quick test afterwards and we were on our way ⚡️

When says he wants some “minted lighting” for his new gym, we certainly didn’t disappoint.

After a few weeks of sending each other every lighting idea there’s ever been- I showed Chris this one and we got it ordered up.

It came in a box a metre long with EVERY SINGLE individual panel needing to made up from scratch.

Attached a piece of Gripple wire to every single section of it.

After hours of levelling and a few swear words later- we managed to get it.

Finished article is a great one 💡
