🚨 Here’s an urgent job we had to carry out last week alongside Bourne Bespoke and with the help of Altida Cranes and their Jekko spider crane 🕷🏗

This Willow tree had suffered a major stem failure, leaving it resting in a neighbouring Ash tree. Due to the instability of both trees and the surrounding target areas, careful dismantling was required to ensure the work could be completed safely.

Both trees were dismantled carefully into the field, with all mulch and log wood left at the bottom of the hedge rows to encourage wildlife and support the local habitat 🌿🐞

A great team effort from everyone involved to get the job completed safely and within the timeframe! 💪🌳. We even made time for the apprentice to go up on the crane (25m up 🫣).

One of today’s jobs was making this tree safe 🫣
Unfortunately, the contractors who installed the gate post had cut into the stem to fit it into the ground, which compromised the tree’s stability. The stem had to be temporarily propped up until we arrived on site.
We carefully dismantled the canopy from the affected stem in small sections to safely remove the risk. The remaining tree was then reduced to lessen the sail on the branches, helping to minimise the chance of the other stems failing in the future.
All work carried out safely, and a very relieved client that the tree held up until we got there 👌

Recently, we carried out pruning work on a cypress tree in the churchyard after identifying a large limb with a split close to the main stem. This posed a risk of potential failure, so action was taken to make the tree safe.

You may notice a larger stub has been left following the work — this is intentional. By doing so, we help reduce the risk of decay spreading into the main stem, ultimately protecting the long-term health and longevity of the tree 🌳

Recent Job Completed 🌳
This cherry tree had unfortunately declined in health and, due to its location, needed to be dismantled carefully. With nearby telephone cables, a road, and a driveway close to the tree, the work had to be carried out in sections to ensure everything was removed safely without causing any damage.
While on site, we also reduced and tidied the surrounding hedge, bringing it back down to a more manageable height after it had become overgrown.
All work was completed safely and efficiently, leaving the area neat and the client very happy with the result.

Recent Job Completed 🌲❄️
This conifer hedge suffered some damage during the heavy snowfall we had over winter. Our task was to carefully reduce the hedge back down to the height it had previously been maintained at, removing the damaged growth and restoring its shape.
Once the height was reset, we also tidied and trimmed the sides to give the hedge a clean, even finish. The result is a much neater hedge that will now regrow strong and healthy ready for the season ahead.
