Another small garden transformation.

Our customers garden is 300mm lower than the neighbours so prone to holding water.

The old timber planters and boggy turf was removed and 7 tonnes of clean gravel was added to aid drainage.

The existing patio was cleaned and re-grouted then a new path and patio added to match. Above the new patio we installed a 8ft x 8ft timber gazebo with slatted screen privacy screening along with Philips Hue lighting and a IR heater for those chilly evenings.

New, individual smaller planters were installed using PAR sleepers. These planters make the garden feel much larger as they aren’t as overpowering. Each planter has been installed with Philips Hue Lilly up-lighters.

New foliage has been ordered for each planter but unfortunately couldn’t be delivered in time for completion. These will be planted once the grass has had time to fully bed in.

PWM Skip & Grab Hire supplied all aggregates and took care of waste management as always 💪🏻

The next project doesn’t start until next Monday which means a 4 day weekend 🤗

A lovely little project which has completely transformed this new build garden.

Talasey Ltd 600mm x 900mm Anno Lite Pearl porcelain tiles were installed to create a new patio area.

Planed all round smooth timber sleepers were used to build raised planters along each side of the garden.

European 40mm artificial grass laid to the rest of the area to provide a clean and level playing area for young children.

To finish off the project RGBW LED lights were installed in both planters ready to illuminate the greenery which will be planted by our customer.

PWM Skip & Grab Hire kept us free of waste throughout the project 💪🏻

The latest project is accross the finish line…

As always, the photos do not portray how good this garden looks in person.

Our customer bought the house brand new last year only to find the garden was unusable. The standard 450mm cast concrete paving patio (if you can call it that?) was tiny with the heat pump taking up most of the space. The grass was lumpy and spongy with a 800mm run off towards the rear of the garden.

Due to the levels on the new build site along with cost cutting on behalf of the developers, the rear neighbouring properties bedroom windows overlooked our customers garden and living space.

Fast forward 6 weeks…
72 tonnes of spoil removed
40 tonnes of clean aggregates added
75 timelsss timber sleepers built
90 porcelain tiles installed
40 sq/m of European artificial grass laid
6 Italian pleached Red Robins planted
6 tonnes of fresh border soil added
2 tonnes of Panda Ice decorative stone distributed
192 cups of tea & coffee
64 Sainsbury’s meal deals

To finish off the new patio we built a timber cover for the heat pump which was colour matched to the door and window frames. New fencing and lighting will be installed over the coming months also.

This project couldn’t have been completed without the help of PWM Skip & Grab Hire who do what they say they’ll do every time without fail 💪🏻 and Talasey Ltd for supplying the beautiful 600mm x 900mm Anno Lite Pearl tiles.

We had a fabulous customer who kept the brews flowing which is always welcome in the colder months 🥶 Just when we thought they couldn’t get any better we each got a bottle of the good stuff 🥴

This little project almost forget to get a share!
Our customers garden was very very busy. For such a compact garden it had been made into 5 separate unusable levels over the decades.
The silver birch tree was removed along with the conifers and endless buried rocks, cobbles etc.
The shed was also removed and the fence line extended to cover the gap created.
New composite decking replaced the old tired timber deck.
The slippery and broken Indian stone paving was replaced with slip resistant porcelain tiles supplied by Talasey Ltd
The 3 top tiers of the garden was removed, levelled and laid to artificial grass to provided an even playing area for our customers young son.
PWM Skip Hire took care of the waste and delivered aggregates to complete the project.
We had to keep the porcelain tiles at a lower level due to the adjoining rear gardens having right of way access.
When it comes to limited access we always overcome 💪🏻

Our latest ‘winter’ project now complete.
This fairly new build property had a large slope running across the garden and significantly dipped in the top corner.
Our customer didn’t know what he wanted and the only brief we were given was to make the area useable.
The old cast concrete pavers were removed along with 54 tonnes of spoil to even the area out. As the neighbouring garden to the rear was on a lower level we couldn’t raise the rear fence line as it wouldn’t have been fair for the neighbour property.
We worked with the dip and excavated more ground creating a sunken decked area underneath the timber pergola.
The old lawn was constantly waterlogged so a layer of clean aggregates was added underneath the fresh top soil ready for the new natural turf.
We removed the old fence which cut the patio in half and added an artificial green wall to cover the unsightly brick boundary wall.
Talasey Ltd 600mm x 900mm porcelain tiles were installed to create a new patio with a flush hidden manhole cover being added instead of the usual recessed cover.
As always, PWM Skip Hire supplied all aggregates and took care of the extensive waste disposal 💪🏻
Philips Hue colour changing lighting was installed in the raised planters, underneath the pergola and above the green wall.
The front garden was also looking tired so a quick revamp was completed whilst onsite.

The pictures really do not convey how stunning this driveway is.
The old paving and tarmac was removed and replaced with Talasey Ltd 900mm x 200mm Cava Quartz edging in 3 different colour ways.
The porcelain tiles were installed in a random pattern and finished off with Orko LED Extreme lighting which is controlled via a RF remote control.
All 296 individual tiles were installed with a 3mm space and laid on a substantial 100mm mortar bed.
This was a real labour of love which was fuelled by numerous bacon butties, cups of tea and chocolate biscuits.
The awesome customers made it all worth while🫡
No project is complete without a huge shout out to PWM Skip Hire we really couldn’t do our job without you guys! Waste management and bulk aggregates with unbelievably fast delivery at short notice sometimes 😂 Alison deserves a raise BTW!

It’s been a busy few months and we haven’t posted for a while.
Here’s a few snapshots of what we’ve been up to. Fingers crossed the current project will be finished within the next week or so.
It’s a first for us and has definitely been a labour of love, it’s a good job our customer was stocked up on chocolate biscuits and bacon!

Quick little change over for a Friday morning.

Our customer’s grass was looking tired and was ill fitted being made up of 3 seperate pieces 🫣

What a difference a couple of hours makes.

We forgot to get before pictures, mainly because it was approaching 30 degrees and we wanted to be in and out as quickly as possible.

This latest project may only be a small garden but plenty of planning and organisation went into the finished result.

As the garden was on an unusable slope we had to create 3 tiers to make full use of the space. We didn’t manage to completely level off the middle section due to the neighbours soil pipe running through the garden.

In total we removed around 30 tonnes of spoil and added back in 18 tonnes of clean aggregates. 132 linear metres of timber sleepers were planned and installed to create the tiers and tie in with the new slatted screen fencing.

The bottom tier was finished off with 800mm x 800mm Anno Lite Pearl porcelain tiles courtesy of Talasey Ltd

To complete the middle tier we installed a 40mm multi directional European artificial grass which is great for pets and children. Our reliable supplier Tuda Grass always deliver on time 🙂

The top tier was laid to composite decking in a black colour way to match the existing timber summer house and storage shed.

To complete the project we installed PAR slatted screen fencing at varying heights to mimic the lay of the land. To add a splash of colour we installed our artificial green wall to the top tier along with smart LED lighting to fence lines and borders.

As always a huge shout out goes to PWM Skip Hire who took care of our waste management and aggregate deliveries.

And that’s another project across the finish line…

Our customer had recently moved into this beautiful new build but as always the garden was letting the house down.

The brief was to create a low maintenance garden which can be used all year round come rain or shine.

The old turf and spoil was removed, all 30 tonnes, and replaced with 26 tonnes of type 1 MOT to create a solid foundation for the build.

The stunning 800mm x 800mm Anno Lite grey pearl porcelain tiles were installed with a constrasting 900mm x 200mm border.

Above sits a 7m wide black aluminium veranda courtesy of Gumax who are based in Holland. The roof is 8mm laminated glass complete with integrated LED lighting. For the cooler evenings we installed 2 x IP68 rated IR heaters to keep away the chill.

The fencing (even though brand new) was installed out of plumb so new incised and treated posts were concreted in and installed over the top is 70mm x 19mm PAR slatted screen fencing complete with 90mm verticals to created larger 3600mm bays on each side and at the back.

The main focal point of the project is the 5000mm wide artificial green wall which is accompanied by 2 large ‘lollipop’ Red Robin trees either side. Along the flanks we added a couple of ancient cloudy olive trees and beautiful red Japanese Acers.

To finish off the garden we installed 100sq/m of Rio 40mm multi directional European artificial grass.

More photos will be added to showcase the vast array of Philips Hue lighting which is installed along both side fence lines, accros the top of the green wall and at the base of each tree.

As always a massive shout out to PWM Skip Hire for supplying all the aggregates and waste collection services. Sutton Crane Hire for the hire of their 40 tonne crane. Talasey Ltd for supplying the porcelain paving. Tuda Grass for the amazing quality artificial grass.

Our customer was blown away with the fit and finish of the project so much so, that they have booked us in during the summer months to install a new driveway.
