This roof had been a nightmare for this customer from day one of this extension. 13 years two roofs and it was still leaking. So it was time to do it properly. After my first look the roof was only 9 degrees so the velux windows and tiles failed from the start. I had to lift and extend the flat roof then build a new roof over the old one and move the velux windows down. Fighting with the rain and frost I got there in the end.

This job turned out to be the biggest job I’ve done. This cottage is one of the original farm houses before Mickleover was Mickleover.
There were many changes along the way having to take a third of the original house down due to structural issues and rebuild it. But I had great customers that had some great ideas along with my input this became one of the nicest builds I’ve seen. So many challenges thanks to the planners wanting so many different roof heights and wall insteps. And finally found decent trades to help speed the job up. Thanks to Dave and Lesley for there patients.
