We’re delighted to share some wonderful customer feedback from a project we completed for Cambridge Canoe Club at the end of last year.

Since our team wrapped up on-site, the club has completed the building's fit-out and has gone on to host a number of events. You can even see their recent race day in motion in the photos they kindly sent us. 🤩👏

"Midbrook Buildings did an excellent job delivering the new boathouse for Cambridge Canoe Club. From our first on-site meeting with Robyn, they provided clear, practical advice on the most efficient way to progress the project.

The site presented significant challenges, with no road access and a location on a flood plain adjacent to the River Cam within a local nature reserve. There were also understandable sensitivities from local residents regarding disruption and the building’s appearance. All of these challenges were managed skilfully, with specialist teams coordinating groundworks, steel er****on, roofing, and joinery to a high standard.

Midbrook were professional, reliable, and easy to work with throughout. The quality of the build is excellent, the project was completed on schedule, and the finished boathouse meets our needs perfectly while sitting seamlessly within its surroundings.

Another successful turnkey project almost complete 📍 Croydon

We recently designed, supplied and installed a brand-new fully insulated laundry building for a school that needed to relocate and expand its existing facility.

The new 8m x 11.4m building features 40mm insulated wall and roof panels, creating a larger, more practical space for day-to-day use.

This project came with a few challenges along the way. The building had to be installed between two existing structures, meaning extra care and precision was needed to ensure everything was completely watertight — but our team delivered the full turnkey project from start to finish in just 2 weeks 👏

The school also had specific requirements for the door and window positions, and we worked closely with them throughout to ensure the final building suited their exact needs.

To top it all off, the client held an official opening ceremony with the Headmaster cutting the ribbon ✂️

Even better, they’re already talking to us about another potential project — always a great sign after handover.

Work is progressing very well on our new multi-purpose community building project at Spring Lane Playing Fields in Erdington, Birmingham. It was great to visit site on Friday and see the wheels fully in motion for this turnkey project. 👏

We’ve now completed week 3 on site, with plenty of progress already made, including:

👉️ Full site set up
👉️ Temporary fencing and Midbrook signage are up
👉️ Reduce level digs completed
👉️ Site levels set, stoned up and levelled
👉️ DPM installed
👉️ Metal shutters set up
👉️ Layers of mesh completed
👉️ Drainage prep underway
👉️ Building footprint prepared
👉️ First phase of concrete pouring has commenced

This is just the first phase of the concrete pour, with the next phase scheduled for this week. After that, it will be onto the drainage and ducting before the steel frame starts to take shape.

🏗️ Projects like this are always exciting to watch come together, and we can't wait to share more progress along the way.

Exciting project update from Husbands Bosworth 👷‍♂️

The steel frame is almost complete, with cladding due to start at the end of the week. The client is really happy with the progress so far.

This is the second building for this client, and a possibility for another in the near future 👏

Project details:

36m × 20m x 5m eaves height
80mm insulated roof and walls

Great to see another Midbrook project taking shape on site and moving forward smoothly.

Nearly there with this re-clad project in Chiswick 👏

The workshop needed a revamp, and Midbrook rose to the challenge. The package included a full re-clad on the existing brick walling, with fully insulated cladding, new flashings and gutters, all finished in Merlin Grey cladding 🔨

It’s been a complicated project with a tight site and plenty of challenges along the way, but nothing our team couldn’t overcome — great to see it all coming together now 🙌

We’re excited to share a first glimpse of this stunning garage/man cave project in the South West of England.

Midbrook’s involvement included the steel building, vertical cedar timber cladding, doors, and the standout canopy, which really gives the building that extra wow factor.

This one feels even more special as it’s the first project Mike, our Draughtsman at Midbrook Buildings, has designed and delivered - and it’s safe to say he’s done a brilliant job. 🤩👏

A new visitor centre in Kidderminster 🙌

Due to be finished by the end of this week, and it’s safe to say it’s looking the part now!

The juniper green cladding sits perfectly in the countryside, and you can really start to see how it’s coming together as a proper visitor space.

It’s made up of two sections (each around 24m x 11.3m x 3.4m to the eaves), with 120mm insulation throughout — ready for year-round use as well as looking great.

We started on site in mid-December, so it’s come together efficiently and to plan — just the doors left to go now.

This one’s been a bit more complex than most, but exactly the kind of job and challenge we enjoy.

All delivered as part of our turnkey package:

● Brickwork
● Rainwater goods
● Mezzanine floor
● External works
● All structural & construction drawings
