Lots of lining and patching works carried out this week at a local brewery! The guys on site did excellent work in very hot conditions inside and outside the brewery to ensure that 220 meters of liner got installed along with 30 end seal patch repairs. All works completed in the agreed shut down time.

850mm patch’s installed in an outfall pipe, working within tide times!!

We were tasked with repairing an 850mm outfall pipe last week that had deteriorated and been out of use for 2 years.
The bottom of the pipe had completely gone and the client insisted that no more cleaning could be carried out prior to repair they were worried it may make it worse.
The location meant lining would not have been an option and with 5hr working windows each day time was against us.
We used a rapid set grout to form the bottom of the pipe then covered it with a concrete canvas, this prevented the packer from over expansion.
Once the prep was done we installed a total of 12 850mm patch repairs to seal the pipe work, this has allowed the client to use the pipework once more. Even tho the patch’s had some lumps and bumps the client was very happy with the finished result.
