If your bricks are rotten, crumbling and damaged you may need a brick replacement. A brick replacement is where you remove the old brick, and replace with a new matching brick. If you have too many damaged bricks your house or property they will likely be letting in damp, this is why maintenance is so important to prevent structural issues/damage that may accumulate over time.

This front garden wall was knocked over, the customer requested for a rebuild. I cleaned and reused the brick whilst ensuring the work area was covered and protected.

Local repair

This lovely customer reached out seeking a repair from a previous contractors damage.

The customer previously had a retaining wall and steps built, due to an unfortunate error by a previous contractor problems started to arise with the pointing, the slabs lifting, and crumbling mortar due to a weak mix.

The slabs had to be relayed correctly with a 20mm overhang, a good strong mix, with clean pointing. The water which had originally sat behind the wall due to improper drainage was rectified. The best option was to install correct drainage and DPM to protect the wall from any water damage.

LOCAL REPAIR

Another garden wall brought back to life!

I recently completed the repair of this lovely retaining garden wall, helping to strengthen the structure while keeping its original character and charm. The existing bricks were carefully removed and replaced with the new and the old brick.

Did you know imperial bricks were the standard size used across the UK before metric bricks were introduced in the 1960s? They’re slightly larger than modern metric bricks, which is why matching and repairing older walls often takes extra care and experience.

Shed base for a regular customer.

We removed slabs and old soil to get the correct depth for type one.

Install DPC to stop any rise of damp in the future.

Poured a nice strong mix of ballast and cement, levelled and smoothed to ensure a nice finish.
