WARNING ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Hectic couple of days -we should never complain!!

- Grabbed some attention down Thurso highstreet doing lock changes for failed units.

Cylinder changes left right and centre.

⚠️ - Seems someone has been doing local work here in the past. Won't mention names but I would state they are more suited to a butcher rather than a locksmith. Removing top and bottom Geabroxes due to the hooks not latching with the units being fitted incorrectly, that alongside rounding screws, incorrect cylinders.

⚠️ - Always take your time to double check who your dealing with, ask around prior to hiring, check the persons/companies page, ask for proof of identification. We understand times can be hard for people.. But doing jobs your not qualified for only causes more problems than solves.

On another note, a combination of works done in Caithness, ignition barrels, spare keys, gaining entries.

All through recommendations - we thank all of you. We are proud to bring an essential and much needed service to our community.

Morning everyone.

Another mental day here, we finally managed to fit our first BBQ of the year in 🙄.

On another note, we are jumping from pillar to post. Today we are heading for Caithness, here's a show of the jobs over the last few days.

Collapsed gearbox at a air bnb.
- Not funny in anyway shape or form - an absolute pain in the hoop.
- New cylinder for security reasons alongside the new gearbox.

All keys lost on a Bmw 3 Series.
- Pulling the BDC out alongside DME.
- Had significant difficulty retrieving the ISN this time but we managed!!.
- Started up for the first time in 4 years! 💪

All keys lost on a Mini Cooper!.

- Gain entry, pick lock with decode to follow.
- Pull out our old school laptop and equipment to EEPROM the MCU in IMMO.
- Data retrieved - new key made!.

To follow!!
- 2019 3 series that's been of the road for several years.
- diagnosed to be a faulty BDC due to a spike from a jumpstart!.
- New BDC ordered - Awaiting the arrival if our new BSU!! 😍

Pulling the data from the Crafter key turned in to a bit more fun... Turns out this one was a hybrid system without the 5C!

Back to the old stripping the cluster to obtain the data from the MCU!.

Boom. Key made, happy customer. All on the same day!

Emergency callout in Aviemore today - German tourist with a Ford Torneo - Supposed to be a simple Hu198 : Hu101 but instead causes me a morning full of grief.
it's because it wasn't a FORD. Turns out in German they collaborate with VW!
Ford Torneo Connect with a VW - HU162 and a MQB style Remote.
WHAT IS GOING ON?! - in the uk it seems Ford collaborate with Peugeot, in Germany it's with VW....

--After a fun morning, and a few calls in Inverness.

The steps to create a key for this kind of vehicle is almost on par with the Citreon!

Cut and blade fitted to the correct ID remote ready for immobiliser precoding data.

0306MXC extracted. And a very special machine required to communicate with this old K-LINE system.

Now to try pull the data and generate a new ID!
