MDL Plant Ltd are on the lookout for experienced and accredited civil teams (Sud-contractors) to work on an existing Openreach contract in and around Scotland.

The ideal candidates will have all accreditations to work on OR networks, with at least 1 years experience.

Happy Birthday MDL Plant - we have made it through our 2nd year.
There has been some major changes and we have had to say goodbye to some of the MDL family, but we are still going strong.

Tarmac Labourer & HGV Class 2 driver

Job description
Sub contractor position to Collect Asphalt in lorry, drive to various sites and help lay tarmac.

HGV Class 2 Driving Licence

NRSWA Ticket - Hot and Cold Lay Tarmac preferable

· Experience working with tarmac using hand laying and machine laying road surfacing materials

· Experience of operation of rollers, excavators and other plant and machinery

· Ideally experience of ironworks, kerbing and drainage

· Maintaining tools and Equipment

· Comply with our safety policy procedures

· Clean up Job site at end of day and ensure all equipment is properly secure for the night·
Excellent Verbal Communication

· Ability to work in all weather conditions

· Able to pass drug and background screening

· Excellent team working skills

JOB VACANCY -Utility Works Coordinator / Administrator

As Works Coordinator/Administrator you will be responsible for the scheduling work, notice management, applications for road openings and closings and tracking of work carried out on utility/telecoms projects.
As Works Coordinator/Administrator responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
• Updating and sending daily reports to our client for jobs due to start/finish.
• Assembling Job packs
• Sending daily whereabouts to our client outlining the works for the following day.
• Working alongside the Project Manager to ensure notices are in place, traffic management is approved so works can be programmed.
• Updating databases to ensure that works are logged and correctly allocated; client notified as required.
To be considered for this role you will have:
• Experience in a similar Coordinator/Scheduler/Planner/Administrator role working in a civil engineering/construction environment, ideally on telecoms/utility project work.
• Knowledge of OPTIMUS would be preferred but training can be provided.
• Knowledge of NRSWA an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Access to your own transport due to location.
