Not every day goes to plan 😅

Sometimes you get a blow down — it happens. The important part is how you deal with it. Clean it up, dust ourselves off, and get it built back up properly.

Rebuilt stronger and propped up heavy so it’s not going anywhere this time 😂🔨

Part of the job, part of the process — just keep moving forward.

Slowly but surely getting there with my own extension 👌😂

Both gables finally up to floor height, extractor fan vent fitted and the rest of the building work up to lintel height. Soldiers all in, cavity closers secured and then topped everything off to keep the insulation dry, before this lovely British weather decides otherwise 🌧️🤣

I had a proper clean up inside and around the extension too because apparently I can’t leave my own job looking untidy 😅

Safe to say I’ve earnt a sit down and a few beers this weekend 🍺💪

Squared this Oxford up ready for 3rd lift 🔨

After NHBC came round with the tape and gave us a 6 on inspection, we thought we’d better behave ourselves 😅 Everything’s bang on — step trays all set properly for the low-level roof and ready for the lead to go in nice and tidy.

On to the next lift 👌

It’s the little details that make the difference 👌

We’re not afraid to take things down if it’s not right. This detail didn’t sit well with us from the drawing, so we reworked it — making sure it meets standard while also improving the overall look and finish.

Quality always comes first 🔨 No cutting corners, no settling — just doing it properly.

That’s the standard we stick to on every job.

Harrogate house style completed and ready for scaffold lift 👌

Another plot finished to a high standard — clean lines, sharp detail, and everything exactly where it should be. Fully prepped, a couple of missing formers that wasn’t on site but all other protection on, and the site left tidy and ready for the next stage.

Taking pride in getting it right before the scaffold comes down — because the finish always shows 🔨

Last minute change of plans today 🚧☀️

Materials weren’t ready on one site, so we jumped straight onto another at short notice and made the most of it 💪

Got the other side toothed out up to joist level, finished off the section we didn’t have time for last visit, and set all the blockwork and window ready for brickwork 🔨

All done on a warm sunny day – can’t complain 👌

Another one wrapped up and ready for the next stage 👌

Plot fully finished and prepped for scaffold — all cleaned out, formers in place, and protection installed to keep everything safe and spot on.

Another big step completed 💪🏼🧱

Concrete subfloor is now down on the extension — that’s the sub-structure officially wrapped up ✅

All groundwork done by First Rate Brickwork & our experienced groundworkers from start to finish, proper solid base ready to build on 👌🏼

Now onto the next phase… superstructure going up and getting it to floor level 🙌🏼

Big progress on site today 💪

Been cracking on with my own extension with the help of our very experienced groundworker — hardcore and blinding sand all in, and the visqueen laid ready to go. Installed a new inspection chamber and got the drainage sorted for the new kitchen.

Also got the scaffold mat done and compacted properly, plus shifted out 15 tonnes of soil 😅 Area is now hardcored and prepped ready for a new patio once the extension is up.

All finished off with a proper clean and tidy — ready for the next stage 🔨
