Further to our previous post regarding temporary Iran War surcharges being applied by some manufacturers we can confirm Ecorend have now applied a temporary surcharge of 3.27% to all orders placed after the 1st of May.

Our website prices have now been updated to reflect this increase as new stock is already arriving with this surcharge applied.

Morning all,

Its been a tricky week for transport this week. Here's a sample of the unforeseen issues our own wagons have had on the roads in just one week.

1.) A tyre randomly exploded whilst our driver was offloading.

2.) A tyre was cut to the cords whilst manoeuvring on a tight building site.

3.) A mudflap was ripped off, also on soft ground on a building site.

4.) A hydraulic hose randomly exploded, ejecting hydraulic oil into the road.

Whilst the HGV industry is surprisingly efficient and all of these issues were fixed at the roadside without the need to recover the vehicle, they all caused a MINIMUM of 2 hours delay to our day.

Long story short, unforeseen delivery delays can and do happen and we strongly advise customers to not book Labour until materials have safely arrived in site!

Our lorries can deliver over 100 pallets in a day and whilst the vast majority arrive on time, we do like to be honest and up front when it comes to issues that can happen as we fully understand what is at stake.

Important Notice.

Due to the ongoing conflict in Middle East we have seen a few suppliers implement a temporary surcharge of around 3-4% on the costs of their products. Unfortunately after a small period of cost absorption we have no alternative but to pass these surcharges on.

These suppliers are:

Sika.
Saint Gobain Exterior Solutions. (K Rend, Weber.)
Ecorend

We have also received notice of intention to apply a surcharge in the near future from:

Baumit.
Soudal.

⚠️ Important Update for Trade Account Customers ⚠️

Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, diesel prices have risen significantly, currently reaching £1.90 per litre. Unfortunately, our preferred diesel supplier is also unable to guarantee consistent supply, meaning we are having to source fuel more frequently from higher-cost providers. HGVs manage around 2 miles per litre of fuel at best so we have seen our fuel cost per mile raise from around 60p to 80p + vat for each truck.

As a result, Rendit Ltd will be introducing a temporary delivery surcharge of £8.99 + VAT on all trade account deliveries.

🔹 This charge applies per delivery, regardless of size
🔹 The surcharge is temporary and will be reviewed weekly

We understand that any increase is unwelcome, and we want to assure you this decision has not been taken lightly. This step allows us to continue delivering reliably during a period of significant fuel volatility.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support, please understand we have made the conscious decision that maintaining our current speedy service levels is more important than restricting our service offering to enable more fuel efficient routes.
