Our conservation project at St John the Baptist Church, Spetisbury is nearing completion. The church tower has been carefully repointed using traditional lime mortar, with historic materials retained wherever possible and eroded stonework replaced with hand-carved matching stone.

These works will help tackle damp-related issues, protect the historic fabric of the building and ensure the tower continues to stand proudly for many years to come.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Parish on future conservation and repair projects.

The opening of Top o’ Town House in Dorchester was a wonderful event!
We were delighted that many guests, including our local Town Crier, Mayor, and Mayoress, who are always so incredibly supportive of our community were in attendance.
The official ribbon was cut by Roger Hussey, who led this exceptional restoration and conversion into nine beautiful 1 and 2-bedroom apartments. Roger and the team overcame numerous challenges throughout the project with immense creativity and meticulous planning.
Rich in local history, the building served as a private residence until 1918 and then as offices until 2017, before being taken over by its current owners in 2019.

A conservation project with a fascinating story to tell.

As works at Steeple Church near completion, previously forgotten medieval wall paintings have been recorded and important roof repairs carried out, helping to preserve this historic building for future generations.

The church also has historic links to the Washington family, ancestors of the first President of the United States, adding another layer to its remarkable history.

A fantastic day of work experience on site!
One of the highlights of Jackson’s time with us was modelling a recycled cardboard sun visor, inspired and designed by one of our talented local stonemasons. It's great to see creativity, sustainability and practical design coming together, while giving young people hands-on insight into the skills and craftsmanship involved in our industry.
