Today Chalk's Gallery Lymington in Lymington. I spent the day standing in the window painting! It was really nice to meet so many lovely people today. If you are in the area and love original art, jewellery, glassware, soft furnishings and ceramics you should take a look. It is Lesley Self week and there will be a maker in the window for the next few days showing off their skills.

This painting is an original acrylic that I painted this year. The water was flooding the banks of the river near one of my favourite local walks and the trees were shining orange in the sunshine. ☀️

This painting captures a moment when we had too much water! What a contrast to the dry weather now.

It is framed by my local framer in a high quality wooden floating frame and is ready to hang. This piece would make a statement in your home above the fireplace or behind a sofa as well as perhaps in a Bed and Breakfast or hotel.

It will be available to purchase from Fisherton Mill in Salisbury and an exhibition I am currently part of. I will be there tomorrow so if you are available come along and say hello.

It will be alongside a selection of paintings I have recently created celebrating the little domestic moments that occur everyday that become the normal but beautiful daily routine.

When I create an artwork I am always thinking about capturing happy moments through colour and shapes. I am always thinking about how the artwork will fit into your home. Considering the sizes and shapes of the canvas and always excited about making statement pieces to fill a space and make a room look special.

My Mum has been growing beautiful flowers in her garden for years and I’ve always used it for inspiration, especially if I’m stuck for something to paint. Sometimes she will arrange a little display for me to get me started again after a break.

I always have to spend time contemplating and taking photos before creating new work.

I currently have an exhibition on at Fisherton Mill Fisherton Mill ~ Independent UK Gallery & Cafe in Salisbury with some friends. It is well worth a look and to see how much hard work goes into creating these original artworks to display in your homes and hopefully make each day a little brighter and more interesting for you and your friends and family.
