Kitchen 1st fix in Charminster started. Found the little Beauty that is a joint box buried in the wall for the old cooker, so chopped in a box and extended cable to new position. Filled in my chases despite having not 1 but 2 kitchen fitters fitting the units around me.

With increasing energy costs and the promise that using smart meters will help reduce your bills and carbon footprint. Why is it that I see on social media people asking for help with their power consumption and their increasing bills? The only true way to get a balanced and full loading and consumption report is to use a data logger that can record the data in regular time intervals over a period of days, weeks or months. We at Electri-Call-Us are happy to announce that we will now be offering the same service as we offer to our commercial and industrial clients to domestic clients. We will install and set up the data logger and leave it installed for a few days upto a week for a rental fee and refundable deposit.

Well another electrical assessment completed today, new assessor, new company this time NAPIT. So that’s me all ready for another year. This assessment was carried out at a factory that I look after, all went very well so I’m feeling very pleased. Time to get new labels and cards printed and redesign my certificates. Next challenge is C&G 2919-01 Electric Vehicle Charging then OLEV accreditation.

Interesting day today at the factory, 32 degrees at bench height don’t know what it was at the ceiling whilst I was installing conduit system for new led 150W low bay lights. Aluminium ladder touching metal trunking pulling in new cables to new switch position and emergency lighting test switch. Big Bang 💥 & Flash⚡️ previous electrician had left cut live cable not taped, isolated or sealed off in the trunking and shorted out just to the side of me. That definitely left it’s mark in my 👖and nearly made me jump off the ladders. So extra care needed and decided to remove all trunking lid to inspect before going further. Just as well as I found more live ends further along in the metal trunking unprotected and potential life takers as not required to be on RCD’s.

11Mtr underfloor heating install in a conservatory. Laid to avoid heat build up under new furniture but still provide warmth on your feet whilst sitting down. I expect the dogs will be making full use of the warm floor. Completed pics will follow when I next visit.
