Reliable Contractors

This year, we’re celebrating 50 years of Reliable Contractors! 🎉

As part of this milestone, we’ve been celebrating not only the company itself, but also the people who have been part of our journey and helped make RC what it is today.

In recognition of his long service, our Contracts Manager Gavin and Health and Safety Manager Jon recently visited Vasile Calin, who has been working with RC for over 20 years and is currently based on the EKFB section of the HS2 project 🚆🛠️

They presented Vasile with a long service award and a thank-you voucher in recognition of his years of dedication and contribution to the company.

Reaching 50 years in business wouldn’t have been possible without the people behind it, and we’re proud to recognise the individuals who have played such an important part in our journey 🙌

Thank you, Vasile, for being part of the RC story! 👏

Today, Reliable Contractors was pleased to support the HS2 Schools Gala in Bicester, giving young people the opportunity to get hands-on and learn more about the wide range of careers available across the industry 🛠️

Our RC activity gave students the chance to explore different types of roles within the construction industry and learn more about what each role involves. Students could kick a ball into our inflatable careers board to select a role. Once they landed on a role, they put on headphones and listened for around a minute to find out more about that particular job. They could then pick up some RC goodies before moving on to explore other activities at the event 🙌

Recently, our Director of Civils, Lee McEvoy, and Labour Manager, Eddie McGuire, took part in a Senior Engagement Tour on behalf of the BBV Labour Desk, visiting the BBV section of the HS2 site 🛠️🚆

They were shown around the site by Senior Works Manager John East and Works Manager Tony Maloney, with the visit providing a great opportunity to see the progress being made and hear more about the work taking place across the project. The site was hugely impressive, with a clear sense of strong collaboration between the project team, specialist contractors, suppliers and the wider supply chain.

big thank you to John, Tony and the wider site team for their time, hospitality and for sharing their knowledge and expertise. The professionalism, commitment and strong safety culture across the site were evident throughout the visit and are a real testament to the people behind the project 🙌

Last week, we brought the team together to celebrate an incredible 50 years in business!🥂🎉

It was such a brilliant day filled with good food, plenty of laughs, great company and, most importantly, a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate this huge milestone.

50 years is an amazing achievement, and it wouldn't have been possible without the people who have been part of the Reliable journey along the way. Here's to everything we've achieved so far and to the next 50 years! 🥳
