Recently, our Social Value Manager, Magdalena, and Operations Manager, Gavin, spent the day volunteering at Grangewaters Outdoor Education Centre, getting stuck in with a spot of painting🎨

Owned by Thurrock Council, Grangewaters works with local schools, young people and community groups, providing outdoor learning, residential visits and adventure activities that help build confidence, teamwork, resilience and valuable life skills, while encouraging a connection with and care for the natural environment 🌱

Our Operations Manager, Gavin Kealy, recently visited the night shift team at Leyton Station as part of his project engagement tour on the London Underground Framework 🛠️

The night shift team plays an essential role in keeping the project moving, and it was fantastic to see the steel framework for the new station entrance being installed. Their dedication and hard work behind the scenes are making real progress possible 🙌

A big thank you to James Phelan for taking Gavin around the site and sharing the latest progress. Great to see the collaboration and teamwork on this Taylor Woodrow/BAM Nuttall Joint Venture project delivering another key milestone👏

Recently our Tunnelling Operations Manager, Eugene Greene, was out on site to see first hand the excellent progress being made by TBM Caroline on her journey towards Gravesend. Having now installed over 300 rings, Caroline continues to make great progress thanks to the dedication and expertise of the team.

During his visit, Eugene also caught up with Tommy, our apprentice electrician, who is doing a fantastic job on site and continuing to develop his skills as part of the project👏

Well done to everyone involved. Keep up the great work 🙌

Yesterday, Lee McEvoy, our Director of Civils & Infrastructure, had the opportunity to join an executive leadership tour of the Balfour Beatty VINCI HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd Delta section, hosted by David Waite 🏗️🚆

David guided us through the project from start to finish, showcasing not only the complexity of this critical section of the HS2 route but also the exceptional work being delivered by the team. His knowledge, passion, and pride in the project were evident throughout the visit 🙌

Thank you to Shilpi Akbar, Peter Whitman, Karim Rumble, David Thomas, and Mark Eaton for their time, and a special thank you to David Waite for his warm welcome and for making the experience so engaging and memorable.

We recently teamed up with Unifrog to create a video giving young people a behind the scenes look at what life is like at Reliable Contractors 🙌📹

The video is designed to help anyone thinking about a career in construction get a better understanding of the industry and what it's like to work with our team. It was a great project to be involved in and a lot of fun to put together. We're proud to support initiatives like this that help young people explore the wide range of opportunities available in construction.

We hope the video inspires the next generation and gives them the confidence to take that first step into the industry! 🛠️

A special thank you to Muaaz and the site team for helping unload the car in the heat! Your assistance was greatly appreciated 🙌☀️
