Many ask of the kind of work I do and to see some of the results... I usually just get on with the job in hand and let the tea get cold.
However as requested I thought I would let you guys in on some of the work I tend to deal with.
This is a part that was leaking from the rear part of the boiler and I had to strip out the whole hydrolic system to replace the manifold located behind. This took 3 1/2 hours( not to mention stuck in a loft!) The job was a success and the customer was chuffed as they didn't have to purchase a new boiler.

Thinking of getting a CO alarm this winter for your appliance then don't just plonk it anywhere.
Here are the instructions we follow when installing a CO alarm.
- should be located in the same room
-located at a height greater than any door, window, or air vent, but at least 150mm from the ceiling.
- if fitted on the ceiling it should be between 1m and 3m from the appliance.
- if within a room with a sloping ceiling, it should be located at the high side of the room.
- if fitted within bedrooms or sleeping areas remote from the appliance they should be fitted close to the breathing area of the occupants.
- detectors should be fitted in every room containing an open flued/flueless gas appliance.

Any further questions, or if you would like to have one installed then please don't hesitate to contact us. Have a safe warm winter.

If you're rented there's something you should know,
Your landlord needs to protect you, so your boiler doesn't blow.
Ask your letting agent, or landlord directly.
If they have a gas inspection carried out correctly.
If they don't, then never fear..Channel Gas will always be near.
