It’s amazing how much work the team managed to cram into just 4 days! 💪🌿

From a large conifer hedge removal to multiple sites completed across Peterborough, it’s been a seriously productive stretch.

One of the highlights was helping to create a new nature reserve. We started by felling willows using tree shears, followed by a full site clearance of all rubbish. Stump removal came next, with the material repurposed to create natural habitat piles.

To finish things off, we dug scrapes to encourage standing water — boosting biodiversity and supporting local wildlife.

Great effort from everyone involved 👏

It’s also been a really busy period on the mech arb side of things 🌲🤖

Our grapple saw has been out on the M1 for the last couple of weeks, removing dead and dangerous ash trees and helping keep the network safe.

With a 25m reach, it can access areas that other machines like the Sennebogen simply can’t reach. An added bonus of our setup is that we can mobilise efficiently — taking a 16-inch tracked chipper and an arb digger to site all in one unit 🚛💪

Over 8 months ago, we developed what we call our Lift Management Calculator. This enables us to use up-to-date industry data, combined with known machine capabilities, to assess and accurately estimate lifting weights before we attempt any lift — improving both safety and efficiency 📊✅

We believe this system is the first of its kind within our industry, setting a new standard for planning and precision in mechanised arboriculture.

It’s been a busy week here at Golden Tree Surgeons 🌳💪

A massive congratulations to four of our team for passing their chainsaw qualifications — great effort and well deserved 👏

We’d also like to welcome our newest member, Alfie, who joins us with a wealth of experience. Great to have you on board!

The team has been hard at work across multiple sites this week, including a site clearance in Peterborough and a range of remedial arboricultural works.

We’ve also been out across the region dealing with multiple emergency call-outs, keeping things safe and under control 🚨🌲

Closer to home, some rubbish had been dumped in our local village, so the lads stepped in and got it cleaned up — doing our bit for the community 💪♻️

Wow, what a week! 💪🌳
It’s been a seriously busy one with a wide range of works underway across multiple locations.

• One team out working on roadside nature reserves
• Two teams in Peterborough carrying out remedial tree works — from crown raising over bus routes to large dismantles within shelter belts
• One team working nights on the M1 near Mansfield, M55 near Blackpool, and Parkway in Peterborough, utilising our grapple saw to safely and efficiently remove dead and dangerous trees on the highway

A fantastic effort from everyone on the ground 👏
And a big shout-out to the admin team, who’ve been working hard behind the scenes keeping everything compliant and managing a very full programme — no easy task!
