Proud to unveil this exceptional, fully handmade kitchen — meticulously crafted from raw materials and built with absolute precision from start to finish.

Constructed entirely from solid Poplar, every cabinet was individually made, ensuring flawless proportions, strength and longevity. This is bespoke joinery at its finest — no prefabrication, no compromises.

At the heart of the space sits an impressive oversized island — a commanding centrepiece designed to anchor the room with both presence and purpose.

The walk-in larder is a standout feature. Fitted with solid Ash worktops and beautifully crafted solid Ash drawers, each one finished with hand-carved lettering — a subtle but powerful detail that reflects the level of care invested throughout. The space is enclosed with elegant bi-fold doors, creating both theatre and functionality.

A bespoke glass display cabinet completes the design, offering a refined focal point while maintaining the warmth and character of natural timber.

Handmade Kitchen & Utility Room for a New Build Home 🏡✨

Another bespoke project completed by Fitzsimons Timber Products, designed and built to bring timeless style and practicality together.

This kitchen was handcrafted from Tulip wood with classic shaker-style doors, creating a clean and elegant look that perfectly suits the space. The large central island is a real focal point — featuring a beautifully made oak wine rack and finished with luxurious quartz worktops that add both durability and a touch of sophistication.

Every detail has been carefully considered from the solid craftsmanship of the cabinetry to the layout that makes this kitchen a pleasure to use every day.

From raw timber to dream kitchen – here’s where we’re at.”

This kitchen started as lengths of raw Poplar, and over the past few weeks it’s been transformed into something truly special. Every cabinet, panel, and frame has been made entirely by hand — no flat-pack, no shortcuts, just traditional joinery and careful craftsmanship.

The layout has been designed around the way this family will actually live in the space.
So far it includes:
• A 12ft island — the heart of the kitchen, perfect for gathering, cooking, and entertaining.
• A bifold-door breakfast cupboard — keeping appliances and breakfast essentials neatly tucked away until needed.
• An elegant display cabinet — adding a touch of character and storage for special pieces.
• And still to come… a spacious walk-in pantry, built to hold everything from dry goods to kitchen gadgets.

Right now, the cabinetry is ready for its paint finish and stunning worktops, which will really bring the whole design to life.

For me, projects like this are about more than just fitting cabinets — they’re about creating a space that feels right from the moment you walk in. A kitchen that’s built to last and tailored to the people who use it every single day.

I was honoured to be commissioned to create a bench for Tesco in Newcastle, to mark their anniversary and also in memory of their colleagues no longer with us. Drawing inspiration from Japanese joinery, I aimed to craft a piece that embodies both elegance and respect.

The bench is primarily made of Ash, known for its light colour and durability. A strip of Walnut runs up the middle, providing a striking contrast with its rich, brown pattern, symbolising the unique individuality each colleague brings. The side pieces, specifically inspired by Japanese joinery, are crafted from Cherry wood, adding warmth and showcasing traditional craftsmanship.

A hand-carved inscription on the back of the bench adds a personal touch, carefully crafted to convey respect and admiration.

It has been an absolute pleasure to create this bench for Tesco. This project allows me to blend my passion for woodworking with a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship and meaning. This bench stands not only as a piece of furniture but as a heartfelt tribute to the colleagues it commemorates.
