A little over a year ago we carried out this installation for a dear client of ours.
Being an extremely high energy user and costing 10s of thousands of pounds per annum we installed the Solar PV array with a FOX ESS 10kw 3phase inverter along with 30kw of battery storage.
With the benefits of Octopus energy’s agile tariff reductions for Solar PV installations + battery storage offering extremely cheap rates per KWH during the early hours, which is sometimes as little of 1p pKWh, our client said his savings made by charging during these cheap rates would see his original installation costings paid of within 3 years so got in touch to see if there was anything else we could do.
FOX ESS have been continually improving their equipment, even in this past year so today we swapped out the original 10kw inverter for their 25kw Pro version and added another 43.2kw of battery storage totalling 73.3kw.
The 25kw inverter will also discharge the battery storage at a higher rate covering the need to import electricity from the grid.
FOX ECS battery modules come with an extended 12 year manufacturers warranty and an expectancy of 6000 charge/ discharge cycles so will carry on for many years to come.
