Three ash trees with dieback removed on Tuesday in this very well kept garden for repeat clients.
We sectionally dismantled them with a crane to avoid any damage.
A lot of the tops were very brittle, so lifting out larger pieces where they could be fastened to more substantial timber was a safer option than traditional rigging in this situation.
All down and processed within the day, with one trunk left around a seat at 2.5m height to be carved.
Great team work and another job safely and efficiently completed, with a spotless tidy site as usual. 💊ðŸŧ😀
If you've got trees to remove in a difficult location and don't want your garden turned into a bomb site, we can find the solution.

Sorting out a storm damaged sycamore for a long standing customer, last week.
Adjacent to a public footpath, the tree had split all the way down the main stem and crashed onto a pantile roof during the gale.
All lifted out and tidied up ready for the roof to be repaired.
Job done. 👍ðŸŧ

Crown lifting a woodland shelter belt adjacent to a caravan park.
This is a repeat job we do every few years for the owners.
A couple of ash trees identified with dieback disease removed and storm damaged / hung-up branches dealt with.
A sensible and reasonable management strategy where trees and people are side by side. 😃👍ðŸŧ

A recent job pollarding a eucalyptus that had well outgrown its location in a narrow garden.
Very tight access behind some terraced properties, but we managed to get in and chip it on site to save twice the work dragging through another neighbouring garden and round the front to the street!
Narrow access - No problem!
Another job done, another tidy site. 👍ðŸŧ😃

A job from the beginning of last week.
40 Lawson cypresses reduced to 7.5m height.
Unusually, for what was planted as a conifer hedge many years ago, these trees are under a Tree Preservation Order and consent was granted by ERYC to reduce them to a very specific height.
Located in two separate gardens, we worked from both sides of three adjacent neighbours due to the access constraints.
All completed to spec prior to the start of bird nesting and the clients and neighbour's (even across the road!) are absolutely delighted with the results.
Loads more light into their gardens and as always, a spotless tidy finished site. 😃
Job done! 💊ðŸŧ

If you've got an out of control green wall of conifers that need taming or removing altogether, get in touch and we can sort them out after the nesting season's over. 📞👍ðŸŧ

Recent amenity woodland safety works to TPO'd trees completed following a survey in line with ERYC consent.
Poor and vulnerable trees felled, major deadwood and hung-up storm damaged limbs removed from trees adjacent to private property and the highway.
Habitat piles created with the deadwood.🐜🕷ðŸĶ”
Another winter job ticked off the list. 👍ðŸŧ😀

An epic job this week, in very wet, cold and windy conditions! 🌧🌧ðŸ’ĻðŸ’ĻðŸ’ĻðŸĨķ
A row of massive Monterey cypress trees, the tallest at 29m reduced in height to 20m tall!ðŸ˜ē
These trees are under a Preservation Order and the specification of work required height and width reduction and canopy raising.
Trees to the right at an adjacent property had been previously removed and this had left these trees now exposed to the prevailing wind, leading to an increased likelihood of failure.
The tree report recommended lifting and reduction work, along with removal of the deadwood and historic split and damaged limbs to reduce the wind resistance, the tree facing the prevailing wind to be left shorter to improve the aerodynamic of the tree group.
This was a challenging job - from a contractor's point of view it would be a far easier task to dismantle the trees altogether! Reducing the height, whilst retaining the lower crowns involving some very tricky rigging, but we bossed it on time and on budget for the client, who is absolutely delighted with the outcome.
Despite the wet week, the site and adjacent properties left clear and tidy as usual. 👌ðŸŧ
Job done! 👊ðŸŧðŸ’Ĩ😃

If you have difficult or poor access trees that need attention, speak to the team with over sixty years of experience between them - we should be able to sort it!

A beech tree with a TPO crown reduced in Driffield this week.
Cold, foggy start, but turned out a nice winter day for it.
Some top quality pruning work by Dave in line with B.S.3998. All back to suitable growth points and a lovely balanced finished shape to the crown.👌ðŸŧ
All the necessary permission obtained from ERYC by us on behalf of our client.
Our work site left spotless as usual.
