Well… here it is! 😍🌈

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me and Dan’s Decorating Service so far. It genuinely means more than you know.

It’s taken a lot of hard work, early mornings, long days and plenty of graft to get to this point, but it just goes to show that hard work really does pay off. 💪

I’m absolutely over the moon with how the van has turned out and I can’t wait to see it out and about doing what it’s meant to do! 🚐🎨

Preparation is everything. 🎨

A lot of people think a fresh coat of paint will hide imperfections, but as this photo shows, paint only looks as good as the surface underneath it.

The left-hand side has been properly prepared before painting while the right-hand side hasn't.

The difference in the finish speaks for itself.
Taking the time to fill, sand and prepare walls properly before decorating is what gives you that smooth, professional finish that lasts.

It's often the preparation that takes the longest, but it's also what makes the biggest difference. 🌈

✨ Before & After ✨

Another staircase transformation completed! It's always amazing to see the difference a full redecoration can make.

For this project, all the newly plastered areas were sealed with Zinsser Gardz to provide a stable surface before applying two coats of Johnstone's Cleanable Matt, giving a durable, high-quality finish that's perfect for busy family homes.

The woodwork was prepared using Johnstone's Aqua Guard Primer, followed by two coats of Johnstone's Aqua Guard Satin for a tough, long-lasting finish.

I'm really pleased with how this one turned out! 😊

A huge thank you to all my customers for your continued support. Due to a very busy diary, I'm now fully booked until February 2027. If you're thinking of having any decorating done next year, it's never too early to get in touch and secure a space.

I've been working on a few mock-ups for the van, and I can't wait to get it all sign-written. It'll be great to finally have the business looking as professional on the road as I aim to leave every job! 🎨

I'd also just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who continues to recommend, share my posts and support my small business. It genuinely means a lot.
Because of your incredible support, I'm now fully booked until mid-January 2027! 😱 I honestly never imagined I'd be saying that.

A bedroom transformation completed this week ✨

This room has been completely refreshed with a beautiful feature wallpaper, giving it a fresh new look and adding a real focal point to the space.

As always, achieving a great finish starts long before the wallpaper goes up. Careful preparation is key to getting crisp seams, a smooth finish and a result that's made to last.

I'm really pleased with how this one has turned out!

Before & After ✨

A recent exterior transformation where tired, weathered brown cladding was given a completely new lease of life.

The existing cladding was thoroughly cleaned, prepared and primed before being finished in a modern Anthracite Grey, giving the property a fresh, contemporary look while providing long-lasting protection against the elements.

As with all exterior work, preparation is key to achieving a durable finish, and this project was no exception. The time spent preparing and priming the surface has made all the difference to the final result.
