Phase 1 of the barn re-slating project is now complete, with work scheduled to return later in the year to complete the remaining side.

Many thanks to Gibb Joinery & Landscaping for carrying out all the required joinery works. This building has stood since the 1830s and has now been given a new lease of life. The roof has been fully re-slated using reclaimed Welsh slate, alongside the installation of a new lead roof, with all guttering replaced using new deep-flow.

Completed this a while ago, full strip and retile in Broughty Ferry, new roof and guttering, all leadwork replaced and the chimney re rendered. We have a few new roofs booked in for next year already feel free to direct message for a free quotation.

Extensive repair work carried out to this property in Errol to replace the leaking joining gutter between these two roofs.

Joinery works to ensure there is enough fall and a lead sump fabricated and fitted to provide an outlet. Leadworks Installed to weather the wallsides where the cement work had failed after being done to a poor standard previously.

We went for soakers and overflashings over lead skews due to it being a heavily wooded area and the likelyhood of the skews becoming blocked up with leaves over time being high, this provides a maintenance free watertight solution that will stand the test of time.

Quick turn around on this roof renewal in Broughty Ferry, getting the roof off and on again in 4 days to suit the clients deadline, all fascias soffits and gutters replaced and chimney removed also, thanks to all involved for their efforts.

Finishing off the week back at St Andrews for what will be the last time, fitting some more expansion joints to the gutters on the lower levels, due to the heights of the windows above the gutters the joiners could not incorporate another step while still having sufficient fall for water to reach the outlets which resulted in the bottom bays exceeding the acceptable length, expansion joints welded in situ to Pauls already existing leadwork. Great job boys its looking fantastic.

Job finished yesterday for P&S slaters back at St Andrews.
Stone gutters lined in lead, with T pren expansion joints welded in situ to allow thermal movement of the lead to ensure a long lasting watertight solution. Last picture is of the flat roof we completed last year on this project, great to see the scaffolding down and the leadwork looking sharp.
