Some doors fitted the other day. The original stops that were fitted to the old doors (38mm) had to be removed trimmed down and fitted to the new 40mm doors 🚪 I just couldn’t leave them as I knew I wouldn’t want them like that in my home. Gave myself extra work on all openings but you have to be 100% happy with the end product for my customers. All ready now for the painter & decorator to oil the oak doors and paint old woodwork and new doors.

Ps. I’m sure that these oak doors never used to be that heavy 💪🏼😂

We always double check all the sizes prior to the start of manufacturing of the windows or doors. We think it’s better to take your time at the start as it makes our work so much easier and neater for the finish 💪🏼

Some Internal Oak doors 🚪 fitted last week. Due to the bad weather ☔️ we had to do most of the cutting, planing inside which makes it much harder due to keeping everything tidy etc. The doors are 35kg + which doesn’t sound a lot, however carrying them up and down the stairs due to the existing posts not being the best meant it was a good workout getting them fitted 😂

Some internal doors 🚪 and new stops fitted last week. The customer had purchased fire doors 😬….. so some heavy lifting up and down the narrow staircase, also the door openings were all over the place which didn’t help 😏 Sometimes you get this and just need to get on with it. Looking forward to see the doors painted black ✔️◼️and the new stops and old facings given a fresh coat of white satin ☑️⚪️
