😳 This is what was hiding inside one customer's chimney...

A jackdaw nest, packed so tightly from top to bottom that the flue was completely blocked.

Twigs, moss, feathers and years of nesting material... all sitting inside the chimney, waiting to cause problems.

If we'd lit a fire before removing it, the smoke would have had nowhere to go except back into the house. In the worst cases, blocked flues can also increase the risk of dangerous carbon monoxide entering your home.

The good news? We got it all cleared out, checked everything over, and had the chimney safe and working properly again. 🔥

If you've heard birds in your chimney, noticed poor draw, or your fireplace hasn't been used for a while, it's always worth getting it checked before lighting your first fire.
