🐦😳 Forgot to post this one the other day...

We pulled one of the **BIGGEST bird nests** we've seen in a long time out of a chimney!

Layer upon layer of twigs, moss and nesting material had completely taken over the flue. It's amazing how quickly a chimney can go from working perfectly to being almost completely blocked.

A nest like this can cause:
❌ Smoke backing up into your home
❌ Poor airflow
❌ Dangerous fumes
❌ Increased fire risk

Thankfully, this one was caught before it caused any serious problems and is now completely clear and safe again 🔥

If your chimney hasn't been checked for a while, especially after the nesting season, it might be worth getting it looked at.

🚜🏰 Not your average day at the office...

Rory and I (Simon M) hired a cherry picker yesterday to tackle three very different jobs, all in a day's work for Ash Chimney Services! 😅

✅ Fitted chimney caps and cowls to help protect a property from rain, birds and debris.

✅ Cleared vegetation from a chimney stack and repainted some of the stonework to keep it looking its best.

✅ Repaired a broken flagpole and cleared the gutters at the beautiful Fingask Castle.

Sometimes our work takes us to some incredible places, and yesterday was certainly one of those days.

High up in the air, great views, and three happy customers by the end of it 🔥

🔥 If you haven't visited Scottish Sauna at Eden Springs yet, get it on your list.

A wood-fired sauna, stunning views, cold-water dips and a chance to properly switch off for a few hours. What's not to like? 😍

We've had the pleasure of sweeping their chimney in the past, helping keep everything burning safely and efficiently behind the scenes.

It's one of those places that leaves you feeling better than when you arrived.

🔥 “It’ll be fine…”
…said nobody when the chimney starts smoking into the living room 😳😂

We’re still clearing a lot of blocked flues packed with twigs, moss, feathers and nesting material and most homeowners have no idea it’s there until the fire starts smoking badly.
