The Professional Journey of DK Home Improvements
The Technical Foundation (2000–2007)
The story begins with rigorous technical training in Poland, where I qualified as an Electrician in 2000. My early career was spent in high-pressure industrial environments. This period instilled the "safety-first" mindset and technical precision that I bring to every job today.
Mastering the Multi-Trade Approach (2007–2026)
After moving to Scotland, I adapted my technical skills to the residential sector. Starting with Easy Job in Brechin and moving to Handy Mannies in Dundee, I became a multi-skilled professional. I managed everything from landscaping and property services to general electrical and joinery maintenance, building a reputation for being honest, reliable, and hard-working.
Heritage Refurbishment at Fasque House (2010–2014)
My maintenance expertise was truly defined during four years at the prestigious Fasque House Estate. As the lead Maintenance Handyman, I was responsible for the high-end refurbishment of historic property. This role required a rare "dual-trade" capability: executing complex, high-quality joinery while managing reactive electrical repairs and property improvements to keep the estate in peak condition.
Professional Certification & Industry Scaling (2014–2017)
In 2014, I formalised my years of experience by earning my Journeyman Certificate and NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (CSCS Blue Card). This allowed me to operate at the highest level of the UK construction industry. Working as a specialist subcontractor for major names like Robertson, Kirkwood Homes, Search, Excel, and Ladybank Homes, I delivered large-scale joinery maintenance on both commercial and residential sites.
DK Home Improvements: Modern Excellence (2017–Present)
Established in November 2017, DK Home Improvements represents the culmination of 20+ years of experience. Today, I offer a unique advantage to local clients in Dundee and Angus: Dual-Trade Expertise.
Specialised Joinery: From structural first-fix to high-end finish carpentry.
Electrical Compliance:
As a City & Guilds Level 3 Professional (18th Edition BS 7671:2018), I ensure all kitchen, bathroom, and home renovations are electrically safe and fully compliant.
Whether it’s a full house transformation seen on my page or routine property maintenance, I provide the commitment and quality of a tradesman who has worked from the factory floor to the luxury estate.
