Hello, and Happy Spring! I've had an exciting week as I sold my first painting on Etsy at the weekend. I also completed another Polychromo pencil drawing, this time combining them with Pro Markers. Based on a photo by Rachel Oxley.

Happy New Year! I used some of my Christmas money to buy my first set of artist quality coloured pencils. This was my first experiment. I'll try with a finer textured paper next, but I really enjoyed layering the different tones and colours.

I've been experimenting with drawing on my tablet. It's not a graphics tablet, just a Google Nexus so no pressure sensitivity and the stylus is the size of an eraser so hard to do detail. However, I'm enjoying the freedom of it and can see it's great for practising and planning for paintings:
