We were pleased to support Hayshead Primary School with their LEGO League project this year by providing hoodies for the pupils. Great to see them win the Rising All Star Award at the Dundee & Angus regional event – a brilliant achievement.

Their project, “Powering the Past,” explored how offshore wind energy could help power archaeological work in remote coastal areas. The pupils are taking part in the FIRST® LEGO® League, designing and programming a LEGO robot while developing their own innovation project.

We’re really pleased to welcome Alex Muir to the team, who’ll be joining one of our projects as a Trainee Wind Technician.

After being made redundant, Alex went through a tough period as he found himself unemployed for the first time at 24. Wanting to take a positive step forward, he enrolled on Angus Training Group’s 20-week wind training course, delivered in partnership with our training academy and funded by Michelin Development.

Alex stood out throughout the programme for his attitude and commitment, and we’re looking forward to seeing him develop in his new role.
