The Darcy diamond was created by our Slater Andrew for the Entrance of a Manor House in Monifieth and as a tribute to our youngest member of the Team Darcy the daughter of our then apprentice now full qualified roofer Connor.

This has been recreated countless times around Dundee by the guys and it really stands out however

Some of the most common issues we find on ageing roofs are rotten sarking boards around the perimeter of a roof which has gable ends. Usually years of the cement skews drawing in moisture starts to deteriorate the boards and timber joists below. Replacing with a lead flashing is the most effective way have this never return.

Something we don't see often but still too often !

Your roof is needing replaced, you get in a few quotes and one stands out over the rest ! It's Β£1,000 πŸ’· cheaper !

But why ? 🧐

Well they've decided to use the original tiles again and think as its only the timbers that are rotten this is fine. In the customers eyes this is great new right ?

Wrong ! If only they knew …

The tiles are original and have came or are very close to coming to the end of their lifespan.

Sometimes a short term cost saved can lead to a long term higher price paid.

This is the exact situation we are facing here in Brechin today.
