Recent 3-bed full rewire completed in crossford⚡️

Pretty high spec rewire this one including:

- click deco satin chrome accessories used throughout the property and JCC X50 downlights being the downlights of choice as always.

- Shelly smart switches in the bedrooms and Shelly smart dimmer in the living room allowing the customer full control over their lights whether they’re in house or at the other side of world.

- Shelly smart meter to allow the customer to monitor every single bit of energy usage within the installation.

- data points in every room fed back to the cupboard under the stairs which was converted into a data cupboard/smart home hub.

- Riolink camera and doorbell installation.

- renewed supplies out to both the garage and summerhouse.

- external security light installation on its own circuit to prevent any future nuisance on other lighting circuits in the event of possible future water ingress.

- bathroom and kitchen retrofitted with future refurbishments in mind.

A very enjoyable one and one I’ve definitely taken a lot of satisfaction from!

‼️ALWAYS GET A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO CARRY OUT ELECTRICAL WORK IN YOUR HOME‼️

I attended a call out yesterday in Livingston with reports from the customer that the new downlights they just had done were flickering. What I found was ridiculous and it was apparent the guy that done them never had a clue what he was doing. Joints above the lights which posed a fire risk, all wired incorrectly, the wrong dimmer switch used for the lights and they used the cheapest downlights they could find!

What I done to rectify this immediately;

- rewired the lights correctly.
- replace the cheap lights with good quality downlights.
- connections done properly at each light.
- replaced the dimmer switch to one more compatible with the lights.
- tested the install and issued a minor works certificate to give the customer peace of mind that the install was safe for continued use.

Bathroom downlight installation completed💡⚡️

The customer wanted rid of their existing pull cord switch but didn’t want the damage that comes with chasing a cable into a switch in the hallway

My solution; wire the downlights to a receiver in the loft that paired with a kinetic switch, allowing a switch to go on the wall in the hallway with no redecorating needed!
