At Axon Power & Control, we continue to invest in developing our engineering capabilities and strengthening our expertise in industrial automation technologies.

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Schneider Electric certifications:

• EcoStruxure Machine Certified - Machine Control

• EcoStruxure Machine Certified - Machine Motor Control

Delivered through the Schneider Electric Alliance Partner Program, these certifications covered a wide range of advanced topics including machine control architecture, motion and motor control, safety systems, industrial networking, cybersecurity, HMI development, and EcoStruxure Machine Expert engineering software.

The training also included in-depth work with Schneider Electric platforms and products such as Modicon M241/M251/M262 controllers, Altivar drives and soft starters, Harmony HMI systems, IIOT communication services, and machine safety solutions.

This achievement represents another important step towards becoming a certified System Integrator while continuing to expand the technical knowledge and capabilities we provide to our customers.

📢 In our monthly series of the meet the team - next up we have Kirsty McVeigh, our accounts officer.
Kirsty joined the team 5 months ago and has been a great addition and settled in quickly.

What does a typical day look like in your role?
As an accounts officer a typical day in my role varies depending on what week in the month it is. Most weeks will begin with payroll , my favourite Tuesday morning game is called : Did everyone submit their time sheet.
Start of the months tend to be my busiest due to reporting requirements.

What is a piece of technology or tool you can’t live without at work?
I would probably say our accounting system. In my role it is the backbone to everything I do. It feeds through all the information required accurately providing a clear audit trail for the end accounts.

If you could switch jobs with someone for a day in Axon, who would it be and why?
I think I would switch with a member of the design team. I’m interested in what goes on in the making up of our control panels.

Which of our core values - Collaboration, Innovation, People Focus, Integrity & Commitment to Excellence resonates most with you and why?
Integrity resonates most with me due to my role within the business. I value myself as honest and truthful adhering to ethical principles. Dealing with payroll, accounts etc it requires me to be confidential, not only with the business information but with employee’s personal data. This will allow me to build up trust with Axon throughout.

Fun Fact/What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym. As much as I love to see the physical effects I train more for the mental side of things. One hour to switch off is a game changer.
I also have a one-year-old wee girl who refuses to sleep so I enjoy catching up on whatever sleep possible. Sleep deprivation is an understatement!!

⚡ Another control panel being loaded in Axon’s workshop, ready for dispatch to a valued customer. Our site engineers will complete the final connections on site before testing and commissioning the system to ensure it is fully operational.
