High Specification Stainless Steel Control Panel recently completed and tested by the MC2 Controls Ltd team.

Designed for operation within a contaminated dust environment, this panel was built to meet a higher specification than a standard control system.

As the first line of defence against dust ingress, the client specified a Rittal cooling unit mounted on the enclosure door to maintain a controlled internal environment. In addition, an Allen Bradley PowerFlex 70 IP66 variable speed drive was selected rather than a standard IP20 drive.

This approach provides an additional layer of protection should dust enter the enclosure. While the cooling unit is designed to prevent contamination from reaching the panel interior, the IP66-rated drive offers significantly greater resistance to harsh environmental conditions, helping to protect a critical and higher-value component of the system.

A practical and robust solution designed to maximise reliability in a demanding application.

Recently completed control panel manufacture and electrical installation for a wheeled screener project for a local company.

What we’re looking for:
• Experience in control panel building

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong timekeeping and reliability
• Team player with a solid work ethic

Experience with machinery and site installation is a bonus, but not essential.
