This Fire Door had failed a recent inspection, due to an 8mm gap at the top and 5mm gap on the locking edge, after a few adjustments to the hinges and re-lipping the top of the door, margins have been returned to the correct standard, and saved the cost of a new door✅🚪🔥🧯✅

Been a busy couple of days building this car port in ongar, just the roof to be covered over, looking a lot tidier than it was. Rather than set the posts in the concrete, we bolted down height adjustable shoes to the concrete pads to keep the timber posts elevated from the ground, and prevent them from rotting again😎✅

All the kits out for remedial work carried out on fire doors,a number of doors needed re-lipping. When gaps around the fire doors, are too big it prevents the smoke seals from sealing in a fire, if this can’t be corrected with adjustments on the hinges, we can re-lip the door, we cut back the closing side and plant on a piece of hardwood edging to correct the gap size, primed and filled, ✅perfect gaps.
