Backlog, Garden Maintenance and SEPA licence.

BACKLOG - I am currently dealing with a large backlog of scheduled work and will be able to take on new work once these have been completed. Thanks everyone for their patience and continued trade.

GARDEN MAINTENANCE - Domestic Grasscutting and Garden Maintenance.

I have not increased domestic garden maintenance prices since I started trading. The first grasscuts of the year are due in a couple of weeks. THESE WILL BE AT LAST YEARS PRICES.
I will be timing the jobs and pricing in the waste costs, petrol costs etc. I will advise customers of what I need to charge for it to be viable after this first cut.

SEPA Licence

You may notice a change on invoices that include waste removal. Instead of the registration of my SEPA licence three will now be a EASR number. This doesn't change anything for you although there will as always be a slight increase in the landfill and recycling charges at the start of April.

On 1st November 2025, the regulation of waste management activities, including the transport of waste, moved under the Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations 2018 (EASR). My Waste Carrier Registration automatically became an EASR registration.

A huge thank you to David Gemmel and Co. at Clyde Garage. Having made the journey back from that there London late last week the work van decided it needed a rest. In fact the clutch pedal decided to have a wee lie down on the footwell and wouldn't get back up. I was blocking traffic just off the roundabout at the bottom of John Street and David and one of the lads came out in quick time and got me shifted. Developed with the Bat Conservation Trust a company called Manthorpe has been producing Bat Ridge Roosts.

These roosts fit to any roof with a dry verge.

The bats have no access to your building.

SHAWS are offering them at the competitive price of £49.66 but if you get us to place the order for you then they'll drop that price to £42. Price for fitting depends on access. I am currently in negotiations with Greenwood Ecohabitats to get a price on wall mounted Ecostyrocrete™ Bat Roosts.
